The Carolina Jr. Hurricanes and the Pikes Peak Miners have advanced to the championship game of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) Championship Tournament Series in the U16 division after skating to semifinal victories on Sunday at Sharks Ice in San Jose, Calif.
The two teams will face off against each other tomorrow (Monday, February 15) at 9 a.m. local time for the right to be crowed NAPHL champions.
Mitchell Eisenberg tallied a pair of goals, including the game-winner, as the Hurricanes bested the Lansing Capitals, 3-2, in the first semifinal. Bryan Moore notched the other Carolina goal, and netminder Sean Romeo turned back 27 shots.
The championship game will be broadcast live via the Internet through B2 Networks.
